Roulette is a gambling game of Italian origin (the swivel) introduced in France in the eighteenth century.
It consists of a disk, divided into 37 (or 38 in American roulette) sectors numbered from 0 to 36 and alternately colored red and black, while the 0 (zero) as the double zero (00) when it is present, it is normally colored green or white (in a few cases); the disc is rotated into place by your dealer (the dealer) and then tosses you a ball, originally made of ivory, now in resin or Teflon: the ball is rotated in the opposite direction to that of the roulette wheel, and stops falling in one of the numbered slots, determining the winning number.
Types of roulette:
There can be three types of tables:
French Roulette, the classic table, with numbers from 0 to 36.'s The most common type; differs from the other two types because, in the case of the output 0, bets on the simple chances are imprisoned for the current hand if he comes out a number corresponding to the previously chance bet, the bet is released from custody and will behave as a new installment which can then win or lose (rule of EN prison). There is also an exemption conventionally used in almost all European casinos: 0 bets when it comes out on the simple chance can be divided with the dealer. For example, I bet 20 pieces of red and leaves zero withdrawal from the 10-piece table and the dealer appropriates the difference.
English Roulette, French Roulette like, but without the rule of EN prison (for this reason, the output of the Zero bets on simple chances are immediately halved). The carpet of the game is different for two reasons:
in the French table there are three dealers to operate the game while in the English and American one; There are no ads (near zero, series 5/8 and orphans) and is represented on the carpet the cylinder with the three sectors of the ads;
American Roulette, differs from the previous two due to the presence of a thirty-eighth box: the double zero (00), also green and placed in a position diametrically opposed to the single zero. The distribution of numbers is totally different than the French wheel and therefore there are no ads (if not in a version of unorthodox shown below). As in English roulette, there is no rule of EN prison, but unlike the other two types of tables, here the output of the simple chances Zero (red / black, odd / even, high / low) for forgiveness.

The neighbors of zero ("Les voisins du zéro") are a series of 17 numbers located on the cylinder to the right and left of zero between 22 and 25 included, and you can play with a total of 9 chips. The numbers in question are 0-2-3, 4-7, 12-15, 18-21, 19-22, 25-26-28-29, 32-35 with two chips on the 0-2-3 and the yoke 25-29.
The Series 5/8 ("tiers du cylindre" or simply "tiers") consists of 12 numbers playable with 6 chips from 6 runners, the numbers are 5-8, 10-11, 13-16, 23-24, 27-30, 33-36, and are located on the cylinder in a manner diametrically opposed to "near zero."
Orphans (or "orphelins"), so called because they are not part of either of the two series above, are the 8 remaining numbers, ie 1, 6-9, 14-17, 17-20, 31-34 (the '1 full, the other horse), you can play with 5 chips, and are situated, in part, on the left side and in part on the right side of the cylinder, which customarily is represented with "0" at the top.
"Zero Spiel" is a small sector of 7 numbers to the right and left of zero that are covered with 4 chips. In practice, a shortened version of "near zero." The numbers that are part of are 0-3, 12-15, 26 (in full), 32-35. The "pot", episode commonly spread among the Italian players, is a modified version of the Zero Spiel, which also includes the full number 19.
In Scotland you use to play the "tier press," which is nothing more than a normal tier (5-8-10-11-13-16-23-24-27-30-33-36) with the addition of full of the first four numbers (ie 5-8-10-11) for a total of 10 chips.
Another famous and widespread episode is called "pot". As orphans, by pointing 5 chips, which cover 8 neighbors of zero numbers: 26 and 19 full and horses 0-3, 12-15, 32-35. It is considered the bet reduced compared to the "near zero" and offers 21.6% chance of winning.
